Habit for Humanity "Angel Project" Again, today we will be sending a sign up sheet around for you to sign up for the Angel Project. Due to the bad weather, you might not have had a chance to volunteer your services. You can volunteer your time to work, bring food, make food, contribute money, etc. If you have questions about this project, please see Pat Ziebart. Concerns and asking for prayers for Ann Dipple and her family on the loss of Ray, and for Derys Harper who will be having by-pass surgery on Monday the 24th. From Mandy Wood, a joy to work with the cherubs and asking for travel mercies for friends. From Janice Roy, a joy for fathers= s 86th birthday today, a concern for her grandson Jared Routh who has had a bad cold and it is causing problems with his eyes and ears. From Mary Bradley, a joy that son Clarence is doing better, please keep in prayer. A prayer concern for Janet Fredrick who has a serious illness in her family, and she is not doing well. From Judie Swanson a concern for her daughter-in-law who= s maternal grandmother & paternal aunt passed away last Sunday. From Mary Brimm , a concern for Opal Brand, just had a operation, she is from Florida House. From Joan O= Connell a concern for Nate, a friend of Patrick= s who is in the hosp.with a serious injury, also for his family and friends. From Howard & Ruth McIntosh, asking for prayers for their son who needs a kidney transplant, that he will soon get relief with a matching donor or at least dialysis , whish they are also working on. We pray that the by-pass surgery goes well for our dear friend Derys Harper . From Barb Wood a concern for nephew, Lon Alderman, who is beginning a new ministry for church growth and leadership, Acorn Ministries. From Carilyn Dickey asking for prayers for her granddaughter, Stephaney who has been hospitalized for an unknown diagnosis. From Carl & Carol Erb, a concern for granddaughter, who has undiagnosed medical problem. From the Valentines, a concern for Derys Harpers= heart surgery on Monday. From Jill King, a concern for Dr. Dumich and for Son-in-law, Michael as basic training intensifies & we will not hear from him for 3 weeks. From the Ferguson Family, a concern for Jim= s Mom, Jane, who is in the hospital for treatments and tests. From Ina Wooldridge a concern for her sister-in-law moving into nursing home. From Jeannie Barnett a concern for Teri Beasley & her sons in the sudden death of husband/father. From Pam Lukemire, a concern for her cousins in the loss of their mother. We praise God for our joys and answered prayers. We continue lifting up those who are still in need of our prayers, those that are recovering from surgery, facing new surgery, and those that are grieving or ill. The XYZ= s will be going to Canterbury Ridge for Lunch on Thursday March 13. There is a limit of 20 people, so your reservations MUST be in by March 11th. Lay Speaking School for Iroquois River District Local Lay Speakers School at Paxton UMC on March 2, 9, 16, 23, 30 and April 6 from 2:00-5:00 p.m. - Registration fee is $35.00. Contact the office for more information. Local Funeral Home is looking for a mature, professional and gregarious individual to assist families in making funeral pre-arrangements. Candidates must posses a true desire to help others and be a good listener. Previous sales experience is helpful but not necessary. Loaves & Fishes will sponsor a Corned Beef & Cabbage Dinner & Board Game Night on Friday, March 14 at 6:00 p.m. in the fellowship hall. On Saturday, March 15 at 1:00 p.m., the UMW will be assembling tray favors for Champaign County Nursing Home. Saturday, March 29 we will be having our Church Garage Sale.
