    Sunday, Nov. 24, the church will be celebrating with Mike his 30 years in the ministry with a potluck at noon. Please bring a dish to share & your own table service. Drinks will be provided.

    XYZ’s

    The November meeting of the XYZ’s will be on Friday, November 29, instead of our regular meeting day. We will be going to the Robert Allerton Conference Center to see the holiday decorations. Admission to the house is $10.00 and we will be going to lunch in Monticello before. Please call Pauline Meier at 643-7448 or the church office.

    Christmas Play

    The parts have been handed out - but we still have room for more kids. Come and be a part of "Hotel Bethlehem" - 3:00 today! Any adults interested in helping are welcome. We also need people to sing! Come join the fun!

    College Students’ Addresses

    We would like to have the address of all our members that are away at college. Please write the address down and drop in the offering plate or mail to the church office.

    Mary Bradley’s joy that son, Clarence has had surgery & now know what is medical problem. Waiting to see what they are going to do.

    Linda & Eli Entwistle concern for Kyra who is home with a high fever.

    Linda Entwistle joy that Carly was ready & able to step in and fill 3 solo spots in today’s Cherub song. God job, everyone!

    Bill & Joy Valentine’s joy that Cathy Travis thought to have brain tumor - is a shrinking cyst & concern for Cathy Moeller.

    Gerogia Hillery concern for Beulah Noel who will behaving surgery on Monday. Keep her in your prayers.

    Cherubs concern for one of their members, Kyra, who is home sick. We hope she gets well soon.

    Georgia Hillery joy for Elsa Walden who is home & she thanks everyone for their prayers & for continued prayers and concern for Marie Wright & Cathy Moeller who are in the hospital.

    Sharon & Richard King joy that their daughter, Jennifer, is being inducted today at ISU as a member of the Golden Key (an academic honor society). They are very proud of her.

    Rosemary & George Woods concern for their niece, Linda Vogel, who is having hip replacement surgery at Carle. Prayers for healing.

    We praise God for our joys and answered prayers. We continue lifting up those who are still in need of our prayers, those that are recovering from surgery, facing new surgery, and those that are grieving or ill.

    A Living Christmas Tree Cantata

    St. Paul Lutheran Church in Sadorus, IL will again celebrate the birth of Jesus with "A Living Christmas Tree", and invite our congregation to join them on Saturday, December 7 at 4:30 & 7:00 p.m. and Sunday, December 8 at 4:30 p.m. The performances are free, but you will need a ticket. For tickets, call 598-2259. If no one is available to take your call, please leave your name and address on the machine & they will get back with you.

    Immediate Need for Volunteers in Mission near Peoria

    The Native American Fellowship is in immediate need of volunteers to assist with some building renovation at Seven Circles Heritage Center, Edwards, IL. The Fellowship is a missional ministry of the United Methodist Church, and is pastored by missionary, Rev/ Carol Lakota Eastin. The group is working with Seven Circles Heritage Center to renovate an old cement block building in order to have a meeting place for winter.

    Materials are already available but our laborers are few.

    Location is 10 miles west of Peoria, just 2 miles from Wildlife Prairie Park.

    We need to start planning now for Christmas and begin by placing our orders for poinsettias. We need your order by December 6th. Cost of poinsettias are $7.00 each.
