Joys and
Concerns from last Sunday Ted & Jessica Hartke’s concern for
Jessica’s Aunt Brenda Mockbee was crushed in an accident at work. She has
spinal & internal injuries & is in the Carle ICU. Surgery will begin this
week.
Jop & Philip Long’s family thank God for the new addition to the family
and also for their safe arrival of Jop’s parents from India.
Jill King’s joy that she starts back to work tomorrow and concern for
Truman & his upcoming surgery.
Mary Bauling’s joy to have the women come to her house Thursday evening
for their annual picnic and concern that some will thing they shouldn’t come
because they haven’t attended UMW. Everyone is invited. Also, a joy for the
work Robin has done and for the parents who have put forth the effort to
bring the children to practice.
Mary Thompson’s joy that her son and his 9 year old will be here for a
week and concern for Truman’s surgery and for safe travel for all her
family.
Jim & Doris Roush’s concern for Art Henris who is recovering from
quadruple by-pass surgery and for his wife, Carol, who is continuing her
treatment for cancer.
Charles & Alpharetta Preston’s concern for their 3 year old
great-granddaughter, Anne Preston, who is to have major surgery this week.
Prayers for Inez Helm (Rosemary Wood’s sister).
Barb Wood’s concern for Norma Ripkey who was admitted to Carle yesterday
with irregular heartbeat - she is stable & had a good night.
The Entwistle’s joy for the time, patience, & love Robin Styan has
invested in the Cherub Choir and concern that more children are needed to
help fill the choir this fall.
Happy Anniversary to Betty & Dave James.
Margaret Tsiang’s joy for her granddaughter’s visit and concern for a
safe trip home.
Linda Halbach’s concern for her niece, Angie (mother of 3) who has
suffered a head & shoulder injury in a biking accident.
Martha Rosenbery’s joy that she has her grandchildren with her this
weekend and concern for Norma Ripkey and Karren McNeal who are in the
hospital, for family members of the nurse & missionary killed in the
Phillippines & joy for the surviving missionary.
Continue in prayer for those that are recovering from surgery, or
grieving and those who are ill.
