Information for Youth Groups
Sunday at 6:30 pm the youth will meet at the church and do sign painting
for VBS and Baskin Robbins. Also, on Tuesday at 12:30 pm the youth group
will meet at the Searings for Bible Study and Papa John’s is donating $1.00
for every pizza sold to a group that buys fans for people in Illinois.
Needed
Rantoul UMC will be hosting 500 youth this summer for a work camp. They
are asking for cookie donations to help feed this group. Cookies can be
dropped off on July 12 from 9am- noon or, bring them to the church by July
11 and they’ll be delivered to Rantoul for you.
Musical at Virginia Theatre in Champaign - Sat., June 29 at 7:30 p.m
A unique musical "The Home of Brave" is going to be presented at the
Virginia Theatre. This musical looks at God’s providence in our nation and
celebrates our heritage. There also is a time of honoring all veterans
during the musical. Tickets are available for $2.00 each at the Virginia
Theatre box office.

Nancy Bible concern for Georgia Hillery tests on Mon and on Wed for cast
on arm to see if it can be removed.
The Fergusons joy for the great job done by the youth Saturday clearing
the jungle in our back yard.
Martha Rosenbery rejoices in God my Father, grateful for his amazing
love; life and His great faithfulness to me. I am thankful for my family.
Particularly my own earthly father who is such a treasure. For my brother,
John who is an awesome father, following in the footsteps of Christ. And for
fathers everywhere, bless their efforts, care & concern for their children.
Help them know they make a difference in the lives of their children. And
her concern for the Fatherless children everywhere, that they may know
Father God in a warm and loving way.
Ritchie Barnett= s concern for
Mrs. Harper, a lady on his paper route, she fell down and broke her hip & is
in the hospital.
Jill King and Barb Wood= s joy
in how wonderful to have Norma Ripkey back today and concern for all those
going to Henderson today.
Mary Thompson & Benjamin concern for family traveling; son &
granddaughter on way to Boston, Mass. Rich & Sharon in Southern Illinois &
Elizabeth in Iowa at band camp.

parents recuperating from heart surgery & pneumonia. They are 85 years old &

grandmother and other family members.
Judy Wright joy that her mother has been able to return to Canterbury
Ridge from the nursing home! Concern that her mother can find a way to
better control her chronic pain.
Paul Trinkle joy that he and his wife spent a truly blessful day together
fishing Friday, and he caught two large fish.
Jop Long is thankful that her parents are here for the first time and
Philip= s concern wishes for
prayers for his dad who is away this Father=
s Day.
Phyllis Trinkle joy that she was able to return to part time work after
being off since Nov. 1 with back surgery.
June Michelson joy in spending day in her son=
s beautiful flower garden and knowing her granddaughter home from far

Olive Gregory joy that she received video from a nephew in England - 50
years of our Queen and concern that there seems to be so many people in the
church with bad backs.
Joy for the recovery of health of a friend following surgery.

Coming Events at Grace
Vacation Bible School - July 15-19, 6-8 p.m.
We invite all children to come and bring a friend. This is always a fun
time and great learning experience.
Open House for Marge Hubert
The children of Dale & Marge Hubert are hosting an open house in honor of
Marge's 80th birthday.
It will be held at Grace on Sunday, July 7 from 2-4p.m. Your presence is her
present.

In order to better serve our very young children, Carol Brown is in need
of an extra pair of hands in the church nursery. If you are a parent,
grandparent, middle school youth or older and are someone who has a special
spot in your heart for our little ones please indicate your willingness to

Garage Repair
The Trustees have set July 6th as the date for removing of the
shingles in preparation of a new roof on the garage. If you can help remove
shingles, contact Ron Stinebring or Doug Bauling. Work will start at 9:00
a.m.

Soup Needed for Men's Shelter
Grace UMC is scheduled to deliver 20 gallons of soup July 2 to the TIMES
shelter. Soup notes: we accept any pasta, meat, and/or vegetable soup and
chili. No cream soups which do not freeze well. Please leave 1 inch of
headroom in container. Please label type of soup & date on container.
Whatever you bring is gratefully received. Bring your soup to the church any
day before July 2 and put in the freezer. TIMES can always use items such as
motel soap, shampoos, toothpaste, towels, washcloths and men's socks. Volunteers are always welcomed, there are many things one can do to
help. Call 398-7785.
