LAST WEEK:

Grace Church is wrapping up another summer season. Although we take a break from many of our regular activities at this time of year, special projects claim our time and attention- most notably, sweet corn and VBS. For the next few weeks, we'll have a bit of a "breather" before the return to our fall schedule.

FINANCIAL UPDATE: To date, we have had:

Income of $133,770 Expenses of $137,987

THE CALENDAR: (Please note especially items marked with an asterisk).

Sunday, August 19: Grace Years worship service at Parkview in Savoy at 2:00.

* Open House in honor of Margaret Hudson's birthday, hosted by her family. 2:00-4:00 at Savoy UMC (Old Church and Duncan Road). No gifts, please. Cards would be appreciated.

Monday, August 20: Grace Years at Prairie Winds (small group) at 6:00.

Tuesday, August 21: Quilters will meet at 6:30.

Wednesday, Aug. 22: Men's Breakfast Group will meet at 6:30 a.m. in the fellowship hall.

Grace Years worship service at Canterbury at 3:00.

Life Song rehearsal at 6:30 at the Aters' home.

Mission ministry team will meet at 7:00.
