MID-WEEK LETTER from Grace United Methodist Church

LAST WEEK:

It's been pretty quiet around Grace for the past couple of weeks, both during the day and the evenings. But things are starting to pick up. Over the past several days, Betty James stopped in with the latest XYZ trip info; Callie McFarland was in to do some prep work before the Angelus met last Tuesday; Julie Smith came by to take down the wall decor from VBS. The bulletin boards have been kind of bare for a couple of weeks, but fall event announcements are starting to trickle in, and I'm working on those.

FYI:

After multiple comments that the flower sign-up sheet was not easily accessible when posted downstairs in the fellowship hall, it has been moved to the bulletin board in the Narthex.

Grace Years worship service at Parkview in Savoy at 2:00.

Grace Years worship service at Florida House at 4:00.

Monday, Sept. 3: * Labor Day. The church office will be closed.

Tuesday, Sept. 4: Quilters will meet at 6:30.

Angelus hand bells rehearsal at 6:30 in the music room.

Chancel Choir rehearsal at 7:30 in the sanctuary.

Wednesday, Sept. 5: Men's Breakfast Group will meet at 6:30 a.m. in the fellowship hall.

Grace Years worship service at Canterbury at 3:00.

* The Cherub Choir resumes their weekly rehearsals this evening at 5:30.

Life Song rehearsal at 6:30 at the Aters' home.
