MID-WEEK LETTER from Grace United Methodist Church

December 14, 2006 Editor: Linda Entwistle

LAST WEEK:

Last Sunday, Grace held our annual winter concert. There were offerings by individuals, duets, trios, and groups. We heard voices, piano, organ, trumpet, bells, and harp. The performers and the audience consisted of members of the church and invited guests. They ranged from the age of 4 up through senior citizens.

The music was a mixture of sacred and secular.

The exceptionally warm weather helped ensure a strong turn-out:

about 100 people. It also made it a little difficult to believe that Christmas is only two weeks away!

As we all know, Callie McFarland, our bell director, is expecting her first child. Most moms have stories about how their unborn children demonstrated a penchant for soccer- kicking robustly, or for gymnastics- by turning somersaults. Do you suppose that Callie's is waving around non-existent bells?
