LAST WEEK:

James Wright passed away early this week. Marilyn lost a husband, a partner, a friend. Nathan and Daniel lost a father, a teacher, a playmate. Grace Church lost a helping hand, a generous spirit, a ready smile.

In this personal season of grief, we remember that it is also the liturgical season of hope. And we join together to celebrate James' life, comfort the family and each other, and look ahead...

to a season of resurrection and new life, for us all.

FOOD PANTRY NEEDS: soups, canned fruit, and crackers

FINANCIAL UPDATE: We started 2006 with $12,662 in advance pledges in hand. To date, we have had:

Additional income of $222,664 Expenses of $231,254

Please note that the income now includes some advance pledges for 2007.

THE CALENDAR: (Please note especially items marked with an asterisk).

Sunday, Dec. 24: Sunday worship at 8:15 and 10:45 a.m.

* Christmas Eve worship at 7:00 and 11:00 p.m.

Monday thru Friday: * The church office will be closed the week of Christmas. Rev. Mike will be in 11:00 to noon

daily to check phone messages, etc. You can reach him then for routine items. Or use his

cell number (on the bulletin) for emergencies.

* Please note that if your special activity or small group is NOT listed below, I have been informed that it is cancelled. You may contact

your small group leader if you have questions.

Wednesday, Dec. 27: Men's breakfast group will meet at 6:30 a.m. in the fellowship hall.

Grace Years worship service at Canterbury Ridge at 3:00.

WellSpring begins at 7:30 in the sanctuary.

Thursday, Dec. 28: J.O.Y. sharing group will meet at 7:00 in the parlor.

Sunday, Dec. 31: Regular Sunday morning schedule of worship, fellowship, and Sunday school.

Monday, January 1: Happy New Year! Practice writing 2007!

Tuesday, January 2: Quilters will meet at 7:00. Angelus hand bell choir will resume rehearsals at 6:30.

Wednesday, January 3: Men's Breakfast Group will meet at 6:30 a.m. in the fellowship hall.

Life Song will resume practices at 6:30 at the Aters' home.

WellSpring service will begin at 7:30 in the sanctuary.
