MID-WEEK LETTER from Grace United Methodist Church July 19, 2007 Editor: Linda Entwistle LAST WEEK: We're off to a great start for our corn season! Sales were so brisk the first day that they had to go back into the field twice to pick more! Two of our three days were sell-outs; one day we had about four dozen ears left over. We have taken in almost $2650 already! Rev. Mike temporarily has his entire family in the same town (well, Champaign-Urbana). Jie arrived Monday night, is settling in, adjusting to the time differences, and is already reconnecting with her church family- I hear she picked corn early this morning.
Grace is providing soup for the T.I.M.E.S. Center this month. Donations must be in the freezer at the church by Wednesday, July 25 (we have 6 gallons thus far). No cream based soups, please. Use 1 gallon containers only (no baggies), with 1” headspace. Please label and date.

Sunday, July 22: Grace Years worship service at Parkview in Savoy at 2:00. Grace Years worship service at Sunnycrest at 4:00. Tuesday, July 24: Quilters will meet at 6:30.
Wednesday, July 25: Men's Breakfast Group technically will not be meeting this morning- although if you show up to pick corn, they'll give you a donut! Grace Years worship service at Canterbury at 3:00. Life Song rehearsal at 6:30 at the Aters' home. Mission ministry team will meet at 7:00.
