MID-WEEK LETTER from Grace United Methodist Church May 31, 2007 Editor: Linda Entwistle LAST WEEK: We finally got some much-needed rain for the corn! Too bad it had to come over the holiday weekend. Speaking of corn, we have only 8 containers of popcorn left. Get them while they're... um, I was going to say "hot", but they're actually frozen, as we store them in the freezer. Oh, well... A week ago, our church graced a family in the community with a food delivery. After the men carried the groceries in, the lady of the house asked if they had just a moment to spare... she wanted to offer up a prayer for the men and the church for our assistance. And the cycle continues: God blesses us every day, we blessed a neighbor in a time of need, and in return, she blessed us. ********** FOOD PANTRY NEEDS: muffin mixes, jelly, and cake mixes
