MID-WEEK LETTER from Grace United Methodist Church November 9, 2006 Editor: Linda Entwistle LAST WEEK: Another busy week at Grace, much of it behind-the-scenes. Rev. Mike is back in town. He's been meeting with leaders, committees, staff, visiting with members of the congregation ... re-connecting in general. Fred Neumann hosted a district-wide Lay Speakers meeting here. Church Council, Finance committee, and Stewardship team met to finalize all the plans for the Homecoming banquet and Pledge Day (December 3). Grace served as a polling place for the elections. I've been busy trying to wrap up the November-December scripture readers schedule. Doug Bauling is following up on our family-to-family Thanksgiving meal sharing in partnership with the empty tomb and the UHS Thanksgiving Dinner contributions. Various organizers are being contacted in preparation for the joint Thanksgiving worship service with Saint Matthew's Lutheran Church (which will be at Grace this year).
