MID-WEEK LETTER from Grace United Methodist Church

October 26, 2006 Editor: Linda Entwistle

LAST WEEK:

This time of year is always a busy one in the life of the church.

The UMW held their annual Fall Festival. The ladies raised over $1,800, and there are still some random sales taking place that will increase that a bit. All of that money is for missions.

We were concerned that the construction might deter some people from attending, but that wasn't really an issue. The biggest problem that caused was the long delivery time for the ladies' lunches on Friday afternoon!

Two other events are in the planning stages, keeping the staff, the Finance Committee, the Mission ministry team, and the Stewardship team

busy: our stewardship campaign/pledge day and our mission celebration/ Homecoming banquet.

There should be a letter with all the details arriving at your home by early next week.

As you all know, Rev. Mike is currently in China, so many people have been called upon to step up and help out with the early stages of these programs. We are most grateful for each and every one of them.

Luckily, through the internet, we have all had access to the pastor on a daily basis, for whatever questions may arise. We just have a 12 hour delay, because our days are China's nights and vice versa.
