MID-WEEK LETTER from Grace United Methodist Church

LAST WEEK:

Anyone who has driven by the church this week knows what a mess our driveway is in right now. A gentleman from the construction crew came in a week ago to discuss options for doing the work. He talked with me first, then Walt Crackel, as head of the Trustees.

Actually, there weren't many options presented, but he assured us that the work would be done and the entrance drive usable on Sunday morning.

But just in case he's mistaken... please allow yourself some extra time in arriving for worship on Sunday morning, as there is currently only the "exit" drive open for use- Renner's is closed, as well.

FOOD PANTRY NEEDS: cereal, fruit, juice

FINANCIAL UPDATE: We started 2006 with $12,662 in advance pledges in hand. To date, we have had:

Thursday, Oct. 5: * Children's ministry team will meet at 6:30 in the pastor's study.

Sunday, Oct. 8: Grace Years worship service at Parkview at 2:00.

The High School Youth Fellowship will meet at 5:00 in the Fellowship Hall.

* Church Council will meet at 7:00 in the Seekers Sunday school room.

Monday, Oct. 9: Growing in Grace will rehearse at 4:00 in the sanctuary.

Finance committee will meet at 7:00 in the Seekers Sunday school room.

United Methodist Women will meet at 7:00 in the Fellowship Hall.

Tuesday, Oct. 10: Staff meeting at 10:30 a.m. in the pastor's study.

Angelus hand bells practice at 6:30 in the music room.

Quilters will meet at 6:30.

* The Ushers will meet at 6:30 in the Seekers Sunday school room.

Chancel Choir will rehearsal at 7:30 in the sanctuary.

Wednesday, Oct. 11: Men's Breakfast Group will meet at 6:30 a.m. in the Fellowship Hall.

Grace Years ministry team will meet at 9:30 a.m. in the pastor's study.

The Cherubs will practice at 5:30 in the sanctuary.

Life Song will rehearse at 6:30 at the Aters' home.

WellSpring service will begin at 7:30 in the sanctuary.
