Luis Garcia, our missionary from Chile will be our guest of honor at a
potluck here at the church at 6:00 pm on Wednesday, September 4th.
He will then join us at the Wellspring Service at 7:30 pm.
Choir Practice to begin:
The Chancel Choir has started practicing on Wednesday evenings at 6:30
pm.
The Cherub Choir (beginning at age 4) begins practice on Wednesday,
August 28th at 6:30 p.m. All children are invited to join Robin
Styan, Cherub Choir leader.
The Angelus Handbell Choir will begin practice on Monday, August 26th
at 7:30 p.m. with Tim Bowlby.
The Youth Bell Choir will begin Sunday, September 1st at 6:00
p.m. with Callie Knight.

Concerns from last Sunday Matt Peters joy for his parents
celebrating their 14th wedding anniversary & travel concern for
Barb & Mandy Wood.
Doug Bauling concern for Mary’s health.
Dale & Marge Hubert’s joy in having granddaughter, Heidi Craddock, sing
today.
Shirley Jenkins’ joy that she & her son will be traveling to Texas to see
her grandson graduate from Basic Training and concern for safe travel &
healing for her father who is in rehab.
Jill King concern for Bob deJong who will be having surgery this week.
Sharon King concern for Richard & Benjamin who have been to Boy Scout
camp in Ohio & will be returning tonight and for their car that broke down
while he was gone.
Gary & Audrey Ricketts joy for the success of our God-daughter showing
her sheep at the Cumberland County 4-H show & concern for their son & family
& for friend, Glenn Denner with treatment for leukemia.
Shirley Judy joy of having son, Chuck & granddaughter Callie here from
Missouri.
As we praise God for our joys and answered prayers, we continue lifting
those up who are still in need of our prayers, those that are recovering
from surgery, facing new surgery, and those that are grieving or ill.
If you know of someone in our church who is sick or in the hospital,
please call the church office 328-1414 and let us know.

Diabetic Supplies
Judy Wright (344-2467) has some diabetic supplies (never used) that she
would like to give to someone that can use them.
XYZ’s to the Timbers
We will leave the church at 10:30 a.m. on Sept. 12 to go to the
"Timbers" where they have a lodge, trail rides, nature walks, and you can
also feed the catfish. Some of our group have been there before and have had
buggy rides, also. It’s a beautiful atmosphere. Come join us for a relaxing
fun day. We have the best chauffeur around.
The restaurant food is superb. Call your reservation in to the Huberts
not later than Monday, September 9 at 367-6395. If no answer, please
leave a message on the recorder.
