Ministry Coordinators Meeting

On Tuesday, August 6, at 7:30 p.m. there will be a meeting of all Ministry Coordinators. Please call the church office if you can’t make this meeting.

XYZ’s to Mahomet on Thursday, August 8th

XYZ’s will meet at the church on Thursday at 10:30 a.m. to go the Pickle Tree in Mahomet. Please call the James’ 328-1735 or the Gladson’s 367-6838 to make your reservation for lunch.

Mark Your Calendar

Luis Garcia, our missionary from Chile will be at our church on Wednesday, Sept. 4. We will have a potluck at 6:00 p.m. in honor of Luis and then he will join us at the Wellspring Service. The Garcias replaced Stan and Beryl Moore, who recently retired.

    Joys and Concerns from last Sunday

    Steve & Joan O’Connell joy of the youth mission trip & thankfulness for the leaders who made it possible & for the safety of everyone on the trip & for the work that was done.

    Joy of Alison Smith’s 18th birthday & the return of everyone from the mission trip & no major injuries on Friday at the softball games.

    Barb Wood joy for the rescue of the nine Pennsylvania miners early this morning.

    The Johnston’s concern for Lisa Searing’s father whose back surgery has been canceled but will be undergoing hip surgery.

    Marsha Johnston concern for Dale and his sisters as they have had to make some tough decisions concerning their grandmother.

    Ted & Jessica Hartke joy that the 9 miners are safe after their rescue & a friend, Tamara, survived surgery after her surgeon accidently cut an artery.

    Paul Trinkle concern for his wife, Phyllis, who’s back pain has returned and is taking treatments once again, and for our son, Gary, who has prostate cancer.

    Bee Allen - thank you for prayers for her sister - she came through the surgery and is back at the nursing home.

    Vic & Laura Christman joy that the mission trip went great and all are back with us safe & sound and concern for Todd traveling to & from his grandmother’s in Chicago & Lisa traveling to & from Pennsylvania for her father’s surgery this week.

    Judie Swanson joy for her father’s 87th birthday and his ability to travel to Urbana from Florida.

    Richard King joy that Jennifer returned safely from her trip to Idaho and concern for Elizabeth healing from an injury.

    Marcia Burns joy for the gift of a meaningful and memorable mission trip with wonderful people.

    Vic Christman very glad to have Kody back and concern for prayers for Laura, who is still feeling under the weather today.

    Joy for the recovery of trapped miners & the relief and joy for their families and concern for mothers of missing and murdered children & the safety of our children as they play in our communities.

    Continue in prayer for those that are recovering from surgery, or grieving and those who are ill.
