Joys and Concerns from January 26, 2003 Sharon King concern for Urbana Middle School Concert Band traveling back this morning from Cleveland, Ohio - weather doesn= t look very good for travel! Benjamin King, Adam Burns & Kody Alexander on board. Lee Johnson concern for her sister, Alice - she is to have an MRI. She is hoping the results are negative. Georgia Hillery joy for our blessed Lord and concern for her brother, James Hillery, who will have surgery on Monday. Prayers for him are needed and also for Dorothy Bell. The Valentines joy in seeing Helen Hooser in service today and concern for Ellen Fondren who broke her leg. Joy Valentine concern for a friend= s 21 year-old daughter who has cancer & waiting for results of tests. Janice Roy concern for her grandson, Jared Routh, who is to have tubes put in his ears on Friday. The Entwistles concern for Martha Rosenbery and her family, who are having difficult times with their health. Michael Bullard joy that his sister will be able to fly down from Oregon for the wedding. Jill King joy that the wedding is in final days of preparation. We have such a wonderful church family! Concern for good traveling weather for the wedding guests next weekend. Todd Searing joy that his brother, sister, brother-in-law and nephew will be visiting next weekend and for being an usher at the wedding of a former youth group member. Matt Peters concern for a co-worker who lost her sister from a heart attack. Barb, Matt, Connie, Gordy, Laura, Vic, Melissa, Mandy, Eric, Todd, Lisa, Marsha, Dale, Kenneth & Kaylyn joy for Mindy having the opportunity to study in England this semester and concern for Mindy - safe travel - a positive experience in England - that we will not miss her too much! Laura Christman joy for Victor= s clean bill of health on Friday after his procedure and concern for safe traveling for Kody and the other UMS Concert Band Members as they return home from Cleveland today. Janet Fredrick joy for her daughter who is now teaching 5th grade in Thawville, IL and they are both recovering from a car accident on 1/17 and concern for her health. Mary Thompson concern for Benjamin & band group coming home from Ohio & Richard coming home Monday from Nevada. Bob deJong joy of having Harriet Cline with us today and concern for Dick & Evelyn Kesler & all shut-ins & care givers. Judie Swanson concern for her parents - Clarence Nash in long term care; Jessie Nash recovering from triple by-pass surgery. Lisa Searing concern that her application process begins this week for a position at the University. Pray for God= s guidance as she prepares. Lisa & Todd Searing joy of the pleasure of Anticipation this week - family & friends gathering at their home this weekend & Morgan & Michael= s wedding and concern for Lisa= s parents, Joe & Marie, who are having health difficulties. Ted & Jessica Hartke= s joy & thanks for safe travel and concern for prayers for Karen Jensen family. She recently passed away from rapidly spreading cancer. We saw the first one last month and it was voted unanimously that we see another in February. The three are a Hall of Fame Collection. We saw A Sarah Plain and Tall@ and we will see A Skylark@ this month and if time allows, we may want to see the third one, A Winter= s End@ . This one sure sounds good!
